Biography

I started scrapbooking in 2001. I had just become a SAHM and I needed an outlet and with a small child scrapbooking was perfect and quickly become a passion. Not long after, I came across Two Peas in a Bucket and was encouraged to submit my designs to some overseas publications. My first published layout appeared in March 2002 Creating Keepsakes (US). In the following 12 months I had over 30 layouts published (I lost track) in Creating Keepsakes & Simple Scrapbooks Magazines and Idea Books. Around April of 2002 I was offered a position as a Garden Girl at Two Peas in a Bucket, a role I retired from late in 2004 due to family circumstances. Two Peas is still a place that holds a special part in my heart and I truly enjoyed my time as a GG. During that time I had so many different commitments I no longer submitted for random calls at the magazines but rather completed commissioned work for various companies. I contributed to Designing With Words and developed the concept and outline for Designing with Simplicity (a project I did not complete). Other creative team positions included a founding member of the Hewlett Packard Design Team, guest Artist for Hero Arts and various contributions to SEI. I was also involved in production design with my first product 'Foldables' being launched by Autumn leaves in 2003. In recent times I have written a monthly column and several articles for Scrapbook Creations (Australian Magazine).

Somewhere along the line I lost my passion for scrapbooking. I was overwhelmed by supplies, plagued with deadlines and bereft of ideas. It was at this time I was introduced to digital sites while I was researching information for a column I was writing and it was downhill from there. I was quickly hooked and started to create my own backgrounds. Within a month I was selling my products online and most of the pages I created were digitally based. Still I didn't really consider myself a digital scrapbooker, holding on tight to my paper roots now that has all changed. It took me a lot longer to find my digital feet than it did in the paper world now I love my digital life, I love the digital community. I am a fully fledged digital scrapbooker and designer. My products are available exclusively in my own store www.tracyanndigitalart.com.
