Chocolate slice & Tofu

My home made crumbly Chocolate slice and tofu. Believe it or not those two things are my child's favourite foods. I really should scrapbook that. For the first time in a long time I keep thinking of things I want to scrapbook about. My daughter has been creating a scrapbook of her year six experience. They do it each week in class and I think it is such a great idea. Over the holidays (we now have two weeks of winter holidays)  I plan to sit down and talk techniques with her and have a play with my old paper supplies. She is so like me in that she has a very simple style so less is more for her though I think there is some room to do a little embellishment. I am really looking forward to sharing that with her.    I love how she journals her stories, she writes beautifully. Last year she was shortlisted in a national poetry competition (top 12 out of 8300 entries) which was very exciting and I think she just keeps getting better. I always wished I had been able to write, my mother could so I guess it skipped a generation and now I get to read J's writing. Until recently she didnt really enjoy the process but now she has found her groove and loves to scrawl stories in long hand. Ok I am rambling, I guess I have just been thinking of all the things in the last year that I have missed documenting and am excited that she is now documenting her own stories.  

Anyway I have been drawing... lots of squiggles and doodles and having fun! Some I have turned into some doodled papers and others are still to come.  I really enjoyed these and though this has to be the WORST preview ever the product is fun! I posted one for my CT last night and in what seemed like no time they created some fabulous pages.  I also have a more girly coloured set I am about to post today.

This is the second set, hopefully it will be up today sometime.  Again shocking preview but the papers are kinda cool!

Layouts to share

Typepad has me pulling my hair out. I so gave up trying to post yesterday that I pasted the HTML code from my newsletter and it worked LOL.  Maybe it is because I am software challenged but this new format has left me clueless. Anyway let me try again as I want to try and get back into blogging. 

Just thought I would share a few layouts from my CT and catch up a little. It has been a year this Saturday since my daughter received her cochlear implant. I cannot believe it has gone so fast and at the same time been such an eventful year.  Just two weeks after the operation I sadly lost my mum and then eight months later her husband of 37 years passed away. How often does that happen with long time partners? The success of the cochlear has been fabulous and we go for a full assessment next week. This will be the first time they do complete  comparasion hearing tests from before and after implantation so it will be interesting to see the full results. I also opened my own store and that has been a lot of hard work to keep going. I thank you all for your support.  It is certainly not easy to be out on your own in this industry but I am still going. 

Anyway what i wanted to do was share some CT layouts using items from my latest Lucky Dip. Oh and I finally tracked down the new link for the reveal blog so you can take a sneak peek of the contents right here or you just go straight to the shop and grab it! 

Look at these gorgeous layouts. First one is by Jodie using the stripe alphabet and the tadoodle frame from the Elements Lucky Dip.

This one is by Karin and uses Using Wildthings Paper, Wavelength B&W frame, Tadoodle buttons and starry (all from the June Lucky Dips). She used her own messy glitter.

Just a couple today. I hope to get back tomorrow and show you some more.
