Three of my favourite things!
When it comes to music there is not a lot I don't like. I am a fan of many different genres and LOTS of sixties artists. I also love instrumentals. Recently through my daughter and a customer I am a little hooked on finding anything with trumpets.
I also love the cello as I listen to my daughter practising endlessly for upcoming exams (alternating with her fingerstyle guitar playing) so when I heard this I totally loved it and wanted to share.
I do have a weakness for Coldplay but I dont know the first song at all but this tune is now in my head.
This sort of music inspires me to design!!!
The second thing I love today is templates! A few years ago you might have heard me wonder what on earth people used them for and then I became hooked. Now I love to design them. Sometimes I pull them from my own layouts and more recently I design with nothing specific in mind and then create a layout using one. This lets me see how they actually work and helps me understand how others would use them.
So I am a total Template convert! They let me get my stories told and still give me loads of avenues for creativity. This week I have all my layout templates in this section available as a special offer 'Template Temptation'. All of the templates for only $24.95. Over sixty templates, three packs of storyboards (I use these as much as templates) and an album I think. Huge bundle so even if you have a few it is worth checking out in the store.
I love what Tricia (one of my CT members) creates with templates. Her style always is pure simplicity. I also try to make the templates have lots of added value so many have extra bits and pieces and many can be used as is to create a layout. This road trip template is one my favs, Tricis used nothing but the template, all the elements come with the template and make it 'scrap ready'.
I always love the one way of my CTs uses the templates. Layouts by Tricia
My third love today is something I created for a new store I have over at ETSY. It is a range of printable commercial use papers and I am also adding some printable gifts.
So I wanted something for recipe cards for myself and what started off a simple project took me many hours over many days to complete. I ended up with this cool paper with spices all over it that not only could I use for my cards but as spice jar labels! Now I have a mad obsession with spices so I have a LOT of spice jars. But I have to say I love this project. We have been starting to get the recipes in order on the cards. I use the jpegs and have been cutting and pasting some of my favs from the net on to cards.
So I love these cards, I love that the paper with careful cutting (and printed on a single sheet of sticker paper) can become a set of funky spice labels! I have already done about half of mine so far.
So check them out at ETSY.. I probably will add them to the shop eventually but for a bit they will just be on ETSY . Make great gifts and print BEAUTIFULLY .
And this is few of my spice jars. Cutting them all out was a little tricky but fun!
So that was my day! Hope you a fun one!
Tracy
