This weekend!

The may Lucky Dip finishes up next week so don't miss the chance to grab this fabulous pack of eleven brand new products. Every month I get emails from people wanting to know exactly what a lucky dip is well in case you are one of those people here is an explanation and just this once a peek at all the products included :-)

A lucky dip is my version of a grab bag and is full of mystery products. Now if you have been caught out on grab bags before I want you to know mine is always full of BRAND new products and I get fabulous customer response every month and customers who come back time and time again to get my lucky dips It usually works out around 50/60c a product. If you like my designs I dont think you can go wrong with a Lucky Dip.

This month there is two smaller ones - one full of elements (six sets), the other with papers and matching sets (five packs). Each is $3.50 each OR if you supersize you get EVERYTHING from both 1 and 2 for $5.50 ! Here is what is included in the May Lucky Dips.

Another month. This one is in two parts again. A lot of the feedback from last month told me that many of you liek thgat option though most of you supersize (in a good way LOL). It just means if you are all about the elements you can pick up the element pack. If you like kits and papers then pick up number two. if you like it all then save with the supersize and get both for the same low price of $5.50. When I added it up there is well over $30 value

Just a warning that the paper pack in particular is very flowery even if some of the colours are gender neutral it is more feminine . The elements pack is a little of this and a little of that and though some girly a lot is gender neutral.

I know the reveal blog will have previews up at some time though I havent had a chance to look over there today. So if you are unsure go look first - It is very hard to live up to everyone's expectations and I know not everyone can like everything so even if you are a little unsure take a peek there first.

NSD sale and beyond!!!

Well the sad news is my COMPUTER is BROKEN!!!!!!! Tragic but true. We had a little warning it was going so I was able to get some work off but now I am trying to work on a very slooooooooooooooow MAC. We will find out this week if my computer can be fixed as it looks like something about power to the motherboard what ever that means :-)

So not only is the sale for NSD but to help me fix my computer! I miss it and I want it home :)

I really like the colours in this - great male kit. A couple of the frames are deisgned to match over the papers if you put them in the right place add a shadow for a cool look. Named by my husband and I have no clue why I let him name anything!

I love these papers... is it ok for me to say that about something I made? Just fun and fresh and wonderful to frame a photo with. Each one unique. There is some elements coming soon I hope (when my computer is fixed) but I couldnt resist getting the papers out there now in time for the NSD sale.

There is s couple of versions of some of the papers, a couple have a touch of bling on them and I have included them without that as well.

Acrylic is so big in Digi and Paper now and I have a few items. One set has embellished page frames (also have five plain frames not shown in the preview so you can make your own embellished frames).

I was inspired to create Ice Frames from a paper layout and just had to have a go and creating some frames. So much fun to play with. Layer photos and elements underneath and then finish with the frame. Acrylic can lose a little of its sparkle when you flatten and so I fiddled and came up with a way you can help preserve its gleam. Add a black and white gradient layer on burn mode and adjust the opacity to suit the paper you are using.

I used one of the giggle papers and a tadoodle from the Funky set in the Icr Frames preview. They arent in the set I just wanted to show the frames off with some colour :)

This week at TADA

Just a quick note this week. My step father passed away Tuesday. He has been ill for some time and it was not unexpected. Just to let you know I may be slow to answer emails for a few days while I try and keep on top of things. If you have something urgent please put it in the subject line and I can deal with it. I am sorry to those of you waiting on the CT call, I will get to it next week I promise. I just don't feel I can give it the consideration it needs this week. So many amazing scrappers applied it is going to be tough for the TADAgirls and I to pick two! I have a few new releases ready to go this week so there will be some new things on Friday/Saturday.

Meanwhile have you seen the April Lucky Dip! Available now! This one is so jam packed and has some of my most favourite products in it! My poor blog.

So neglected and I am sorry about that. I would promise to be better but I am not sure that is a promise I can keep :-)

I have been designing!

When I design I find it really difficult to type. Obviously I use very different parts of the brain! So even naming files is a trial... truly! Often products end up with a name xyghj.psd and I wonder why i cant find anything on my computer! So when emails come in that I just have to answer I really struggle to make my fingers work.

I want to thank you for the wonderful messages of support I received. It really means so much that people like what you do enough to take the time to write a message. The messages really gave me heart.

March lucky dip is here! I think it is my biggest ever with 11 products in the supersize - all new! I hope you like it. Don't hesitate to email me though if you didnt. I always want to know how I can improve. Be warned it is flowery and springy and me.... sorry all you mothers of boys! Though some of it is very gender neutral.

I haven't put up a preview this month because I was growled at last month.. some people just dont like to peek! But if you are one of those people that just have to know there is a reveal blog out there (ok here is the link) and I know it will be up there soon :-) I thought I would leave it to the experts.

Just to clarify.

Thank you so much for all your nice messages and emails.

No I am not quitting designing right now. I am investigating some other options so I am not sure what the future holds right now.

Digital scrapbooking has grown in leaps and bounds since I started as a designer and in the last few months lots of changes have taken place. Not all of them have been postive.

It truly is difficult to continue to produce a good quality original product and sell it for a reasonable price. I love designing, I love being original and I really try to give the best customer service I can deliver. But this is my living, if I was doing it for a hobby it would be so much easier to justify the time :) It is all supply and demand and the supply far exceeds the demand and though I believe I have been very succesful it is a time consuming occupation for a healthy return.

With the issues of pirates it is heart breaking to see your products being distributed in that way. I design for a living for my family so it really feels like someone is taking from your family when that happens. It has greatly harmed my business this month. So I am at a crossroads ... I dont have enough time to chase that down and design. I am considering an option to sell in a consigment store but I am not sure that is the total answer.

So yes TADA is still open for a little while as I figure things out :) I promise to let you know.

For now I am clearing eveyrthing up and getting rid of lots of products so have a clearance sale on.
